Last week’s Women of Influence event for International Women’s day was such a big affair with 320 people on the tennis courts at RACV Royal Pines Resort.
And yet it still felt like a warm and close professional community. We are so very lucky to have the support from all our guests, sponsors, partners and the amazing speakers who shared their expertise and made the event such a great success.
A big congratulations to our amazing committee members and to the RACV team – it was a leap of faith moving from our usual location which could only accommodate 180 guests to the huge outdoor and undercover venue and was certainly something to be held “in the elements”. Luckily the torrential rain of the night before held off and although it was a bit steamy, it didn’t get too warm before we were on our way full of a delicious breakfast.
It was a very full agenda for a breakfast event, although we kept to our mission of always getting you off to work on time, but still after connecting with others, learning and growing from the experience.
MORE TIME & MORE TIPS
If anything, I just wish we had more time to hear from our four guest speakers.
Thank you so much Dr Karen Coates, Dr Shahina Braganza, Lisa Spencer and Leschen Smaller. Your experience and passion for your area of expertise was so evident and we all walked away with so many insights and tips from each of you.
Our sponsors came to the party as always with amazing raffle prizes, which our guests generously purchased. We raised a record amount for our charity partners many guests walked way with fantastic prizes.
Our passionate Gold Sponsor supporter and photographer Annie Noon had the massive task of capturing everyone at the event, photos are now available on our Facebook album and in the Gallery of our website.
We were also lucky to have worldwide cinematographer Simon Christidis capturing the event, which I am now enjoying the process of editing to create a mini movie of this wonderful event.
