Women of Influence Annual Guest Survey 2019

The results are in!

Thank you to those who completed the Women of Influence Annual Guest Survey – we really appreciate you taking the time and we value your feedback!

The first question we asked was to rate the reasons you attend WOMEN OF INFLUENCE events.

Based on your responses we are working on a few changes to our upcoming events – nothing too radical however since most said that you love attending our events!

We are delighted to know this – the WOI committee are all volunteers, we organise the events to add value, connect the business community and to learn and be challenge ourselves.

While we have a formula developed over the 15 years of delivering events, we like to check in each year to see how we can improve and where to focus our energies.

The first question was to rate the reasons why you attend our events?

Broadens my horizon and connects me to a much wider range of business women. I am energized by the events and the upbeat vibe of attendees. I think you bring focus and the chance to reflect on how our business and events bring meaning to the greater community.

“Branding my name and also stating that women can be CEO’s in the male dominated trade industry.”

“Inspiration from other like-minded women – more for personal motivation rather than specific strategy.”

“It allows my team to mix with other people in the business community and make contacts outside our industry.”

“It opens doors to allow new ways of thinking and connecting that can assist with meeting our business objectives.”

“To learn from others, network, identify opportunities, share learnings, feel part of a community.”

There is nothing that I dislike - they are great. It would be good however if each event included a short presentation from a specialist in topics that are difficult to tackle but are of interest to all business (e.g. recruitment, financial operations, law, tax, having difficult conversations, risk management etc).

We also asked the hard question – what you dislike about the events:

“There are too many prizes in my view; the end tends to ramble.”

“Just not enough time to network. It would be great if presenters time was shorter & time to mingle & network much longer.”

“I have been attending on and off for 5 years and love most everything, just the lack of new connections I wonder if there is a way to meet 5 new people in a 10 minute time slot if people would feel ok to mix and mingle.”

“Quality of the speakers vary. Some events are fantastic. And I go wow – I want to listen to that again. Others lack informative or entertaining speakers.”

“Not long enough :)”

How we will use your feedback

When it comes to raffle prizes we will focus on quality, not quantity.

At each event we will make sure you have more time before and after the main presentation to speak with your fellow guests.

Our next three events feature professional speakers who are highly regarded on the National speaking circuit, they are experienced, successful, charismatic and entertaining.

The October event is a half day workshop followed by a networking lunch.  CLICK HERE for details

Our annual November event is a change from the usual breakfast format, it’s an afternoon High Tea and Business Bubbles event.  Last year many of the guests stayed to mix and mingle well into the afternoon.  CLICK HERE for details
