About this event
Thirty years ago, the world committed to a bold vision for gender equality, the United Nations’ Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
Since then, we’ve seen women break barriers, reshape policies, and ignite global movements. Yet, despite these strides, the promises made remain largely unfulfilled for millions of women worldwide. We are simply not where we should be.
It’s time to turn promises into progress.
Join us for International Women’s Day 2025 to commemorate #MarchForward for a gender equal future.
UN Women has always been considered the founder of IWD. They are “A global champion for women and girls” and are:
- The United Nations entity responsible for promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
- established in 2010 to accelerate progress to meet the needs of women and girls worldwide.
- a registered charity which exists to raise funds for and awareness of UN Women’s work across the Pacific region and around the world. UN Women
- recognised in Australia by UN Women as its partner in Australia to advance UN Women’s agenda.
ABOUT WOMEN OF INFLUENCE (WOI)
WOI is a Not-for-Profit Incorporated Association run by a committee of volunteers. The organisation started in May 2005 as a chapter of Women in Finance, to offer business events for like-minded professionals. We became an incorporated association in 2010 and changed our name to Women of Influence – QLD.
Our Mission is to deliver excellent events for businesswomen to CONNECT, LEARN & GROW.

From 2 February – $72.00 pp or $560 per table of 8 people
Plus booking fee of $2.20 is incurred by the registration system.
