#metoo has brought to our attention the reality that just about everyone has experienced a professional ordeal of varying degrees and different types.  Whether you are a Hollywood star, a Senior Executive or a working Mum there has no doubt been a few challenges and roadblocks along the way.

The March Women of Influence event on International Women’s Day is about sharing our experiences and learning how to move on in a positive way #PushforProgress

Our speaker, Kylie Sprott, was a Global Senior Executive with an ASX 200, AUD $1Billion listed company Cardno when she had her career and life-defining traumatic event.  

At the time, she was in an amazing role she adored, working on challenging projects with 8,500 staff, she was being recognized internally and externally awarded for her management expertise, passion and success when a situation outside of her control brought her life crashing down.

Kylie will share her story and together with clinical psychologist Dr Rebecca Ray, will discuss how the brain processes trauma and what coping mechanisms you can use to move forward and even benefit from the experience.

Personally, Rebecca has also been on both sides of the couch with depression and anxiety. She has also completed a Doctor of Clinical

Psychology researching group-based interpersonal psychotherapy for combat veterans with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PSD).

Rebecca’s clinical expertise and empathy for trauma combined with Kylie’s experience are a powerful combination.
