The next Women of influence event is afternoon High Tea, so while our regular MC Moyra Major will be hamming it up with Galey and Mal on 102.9 Hot Tomato’s Drive home we are very excited to welcome Carla Tooma as our host and MC for this event.

ABOUT CARLA

Carla Tooma is a full-time journalist, presenter and announcer for 102.9 Hot Tomato and myGC.com.au. When she is isn’t busy presenting all of myGC’s videos, bringing you the latest news or chatting live on air, Carla will often be found scoping out the hottest local events – LIKE THE WOMEN OF INFLUENCE HIGH TEA!

Carla is also a well-regarded MC, singer and actor. Some of her credits include hosting the Australia’s Next Top Model Queensland Auditions for Foxtel, guest starring on Toybox for Channel Seven, and performing as Mrs Banks in The Arts Centre Gold Coast’s production of Mary Poppins. Carla holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Bond University, where she graduated with the number of First in Class and Dean’s List of Academic Excellence awards.

Carla will MC the Women of Influence High Tea including a hosted Q&A session with a panel of successful Gold Coast athletes and sporting mentors, an intimate fashion showcase and drawing of the fabulous WOI raffle prizes.
