We look back on a fantastic year with Women of Influence
Women of Influence held four fabulous events this year, hosting 643 guests and raising over $25,000 in ticket and raffle sales. We are a Not-For-Profit organisation with volunteer committee members who all dedicate their “Spare” time outside careers, businesses, families and busy lives. However, we love every minute of the lead-up, delivery and wrap up for each event. We have fun, learn, and challenge ourselves but the best part is that we have formed amazing friendships and we love putting on great events for our guests while supporting our generous sponsors and raising awareness and money for our charity RADFLY
Thank you to all our supporters, guests, the team at RACV Resort and our speakers and lovely MC’s Moyra Major and Carla Tooma from Hot Tomato.
Here is a wrap up of this year’s activities!
First Event for 2017 – 8 March 2017
We started 2017 by getting focused and in “The Flow” with our Key Note speaker Kylie Sprott.
This breakfast event to celebrate International Women’s Day was a sellout, we moved into the large ballroom to accommodate 200 guests. We were treated to meditation with Emma-Jean followed by an engaging session with Kylie Sprott who shared the Pomodoro Technique and the concept of Flow.

The Great Debate – 22 June
As usual, the great debate was controversial, entertaining and insightful. The topic “That technology is disrupting the way we work and live”, made for some lively arguments. While the Affirmative team was most certainly the technical winner on the day, the negative team used their charisma, performance and even bribery to win the crowd over.
MC and Host – Moyra Major
Affirmative Team
John Morris – General Manager, RACV Resorts
Jan Logan – Jan Logan Jewellery
Naomi Joy Edwards – Disruptor of Institutions
Negative Team

Business High Tea – 16 November
The last event of the year we changed things up with a High Tea up high, at Videre Restaurant on level 21 of RACV Royal Pines. Instead of breakfast, we had champagne, sporting champions, pop-up shops and fashion parades – it was a fun Spring afternoon.
The fashion parade and Q & A panel were hosted by Carla Tooma on the topic of “Goal Setting like a Champion” with Sam Riley, Michelle Mitchell and Danielle Appi
