The Women of Influence Annual Great Debate has been postponed until Friday 11 September
After finally getting back on track from the initial set back of COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, we had recalibrated and reset to offer you an exciting hybrid event featuring our clever and charismatic debaters live streamed from RACV Royal Pines Resort.
However, the Pandemic has struck again, forcing us to make a quick and difficult decision to postpone the event.
We are pleased to announce that the Women of Influence Annual Great Debate will go ahead at lunchtime on Friday 11 September 2020.
AFL HUB
As you may be aware, our event partners RACV Royal Pines, has been the home away from home for AFL players to live, train and prepare for their games. This was all due to come to an end shortly with the main resort reopening next week, however as of Monday 6 July 2020, RACV received confirmation that they will not be opening RACV Royal Pines Resort now until early September based on the AFL teams needing to extend the HUB for many more weeks given the awful situation in Victoria.
As the AFL teams require exclusive use of the Resort, Women of Influence are unable to host the Great Debate on Friday 24 July.
We have made the decision to move the Great Debate to Friday 11 September, a date you may already have in your diary as it was scheduled for our upcoming wellness event!
For those who have already booked tickets for the Great Debate date, you should have already received an email from us providing options or you can EMAIL US.
BLESSING IN DISGUISE
While this decision was difficult, it was made unanimously among our WOI Committee members and our Debaters.
In the meantime, let us all continue to juggle our careers, families, health and all that the uncertainty of 2020 has thrown us.
The Annual Great Debate this year is all about TAKING CARE OF OURSELVES – a topic which is at the forefront of everybody’s mind.
