Last week we would have held the very popular Annual Great Debate
For almost 10 years each June, Women of Influence has held the very popular Annual Great Debate.
We have tackled so many controversial topics, and hundreds of guests have enjoyed the strategy play of many talented debaters, been amused, at times shocked, but most certainly always entertained by the antics of this fabulous event.
This year, the event was scheduled to be held at RACV Royal Pines on Thursday 11 June but of course it could not go ahead as planned.
Down but not out
While the Women of Influence Committee has been working on getting our own lives back on track, and after accepting that we had to adjust, we also were not going to give up.
We didn’t want our professional community to miss out – and so we are excited to announce that this event will now go ahead at lunchtime on Friday 24 July and will be a hybrid event.
A hybrid event means that we will have the debaters, the judge, the timekeeper and committee members live at RACV Royal Pines along with a limited number of guests and supporters.
The event will also be professionally filmed and live streamed to guests and office parties around the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and even around the world!
Go big or go home!
One of the benefits of delivering a hybrid event is that we can invite people from all throughout Queensland and even Nationally! We will be promoting the event on a bigger scale and aiming to attract online guests who have never attended a Women of Influence event before.
As part of the Women of Influence community, you will benefit from being a part of the excitement of a live broadcast which is simultaneously promoted via social media.
So even those who cannot attend the live event, there will still be an opportunity to connect, learn and grow..
This year we are determined to deliver something unique and exciting at a time when people are just starting to feel confident about getting back out again.

Prepare to be entertained, to connect, learn and grow with your colleagues
