USING OUR POWER AND INFLUENCE FOR GOOD

This year our teams will argue the topic:

That financial power is the greatest form of influence

On Thursday 9th June, Women of Influence will use our power and influence to raise funds, to provide food and give love to our fellow humans.

Thanks to our generous sponsorship partners, we will have an exciting range of raffle prizes for guests to win and allow us to raise much-needed funds for Gold Coast youth. All raffle proceeds from the annual great debate will be donated to RADFLY and their mission to support local youth.

ABOUT RADFLY (Realise A Difference For Local Youth)

RADFLY is run by a group of passionate volunteers who for over ten years have been dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people in our Gold Coast Community by raising funds and awareness.

RADFLY’S VALUES:

CARING: RADFLY supports organisations that provide respectful, compassionate and non-judgmental interactions with local youth.

OPPORTUNITY: RADFLY aims to maximise fundraising endeavours in a manner that is beyond reproach.

COMMUNITY: RADFLY aims to positively impact the Gold Coast community

For the Annual Great Debate we are also asking our guests to bring non-perishable food along to the event to be donated to OZHARVEST for people who are struggling right now.

ABOUT OZHARVEST

OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue charity, rescuing quality, excess food from commercial food businesses and delivering it free of charge to charities including emergency relief programs, community centres, domestic and family violence shelters and school breakfast programs. On the Gold Coast, OzHarvest’s fleet of 4 vehicles supports more than 60 charities every week, across the Gold Coast, hinterland and down to the northern NSW coast.

OzHarvest Gold Coast has delivered more than 9 million meals, nourishing families and individuals experiencing food insecurity, and protecting our planet from the harmful effects of food waste. With bushfires, drought, COVID-19 and ongoing flooding impacting our community physically and economically, demand for food relief has increased dramatically.

As a philanthropically funded charity, every $1 donated to OzHarvest means we can deliver 2 meals to someone in need.
